Stavig Group Shares COVID-19 Pandemic Response Plan
Our COVID-19 task force meets regularly to update our Pandemic Response Plan to ensure we safeguard the health and safety of our team members and our community while maintaining the continuity of supply and service to our valued customers.
General Steel Drum LLC (“GSD”), which is owned by the Stavig family, who also separately owns Myers Container LLC and Container Management Services LLC, is pleased to announce the acquisition of North Coast Container (“NCC”) of Cleveland, Ohio.
The new entity will operate as North Coast Container LLC. This transaction is good for North Coast, good for our customers, and good for the Stavigs’ container businesses that, collectively, now have the ability to service customers across the country.
We’ve built our reputation on quality, reliability and constant product innovation.
We don’t just meet national and international quality expectations – we exceed them. Our 55-gallon drums are American-made – both in the materials we use and in our production processes. We’re the only manufacturer in the U.S. to use an expander to work-harden each of our containers, which allows lighter material to be used to achieve the same high performance of heavier gauge drums, saving you money while maintaining exceptional quality.
Steel drums are the most widely used industrial package in the world, and there’s good reason why.
With consistent strength and durability, and an unparalleled safety record, steel drums are the most versatile industrial package for the shipment and storage of hazardous goods. Steel is also the most recycled material on the planet, making steel drums a sustainable and affordable shipping solution. Throughout the manufacturing process, North Coast performs rigorous quality control tests and procedures to assure our containers meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
