NCC In The Community
Since North Coast Container’s inception in 1983, we have been committed to supporting and strengthening the communities in which we work and live. Giving back is a fundamental part of the North Coast Container culture, and we continually seek to positively contribute to the lives of our neighbors.
NCC A Staple At Cleveland Clinic Children’s Gala
Our philanthropic initiatives are focused in Northeast Ohio in the areas of healthcare and youth enrichment. For many years, we have supported Cleveland Clinic Children’s through sponsorship of the organization’s annual gala, now in its 25th year. This fundraising event honors pediatric patients who have been courageous in their fight against illness and funds programs at the health system’s world-class facilities.
CEO Jim Beardsley Committed to Leaving a LegacyA long-time supporter of the ALS Association’s Northern Ohio Chapter, our CEO, James E. Beardsley, was honored with the 2014 Bob Feller Legacy Award for his dedication to the advancements of the ALS Association. For nearly a decade, North Coast has sponsored the organization’s annual Strike Out! ALS Gala & Auction, which funds invaluable services for individuals living with ALS.
North Coast also focuses its philanthropic efforts on youth activities, and sponsors golf outings for the Boy Scouts of Northern Ohio as well as the Memorial Invitational Golf Benefit for the Yoder Brothers Memorial Scholarship Foundation. The latter provides college scholarships to eight high school students each year, and has awarded more than $1 million in its 18-year run.
NCC and Cedar Point
From 2013 to 2015, North Coast was the proud title sponsor of Cedar Point’s Luminosity: Ignite the Night – an $8.5 million stage production. Held nightly during the park’s summer season, the celebratory show is filled with music, dancing and pyrotechnics.
